The Gran
Canaria Language Exchange is a new initiative being
created by Spanish and English tutor Theresa Coe. The aim is to provide a
cost-free opportunity to improve your Spanish, English, German, French
or Norwegian
through one-to-one contact with a native or fluent speaker in your
chosen
language. Initially the focus will be on matching Spanish and English
speakers for mutual support but hopefully the Exchange will expand over
time.

Ryanair to fly to Gran Canaria for all 2010. Cheap flights to Gran Canaria from UK, Germany, Italy and Portugal.

If you go to Google maps now and click on the street view you now can see actual photos of the buildings. The Google van was here a couple of months ago snapping away and a lot of the island is now covered.

Aena (the Spanish airport authority) have announced that all airport charges will be maintained a 0 for all 2010 to help stimulate tourism and help Spanish airlines. This is great for us as it will hopefully mean that Ryanair will extend their agreement to fly here past March 31 2010 until the end of the year. You an currently get return flights for 20 euros in December and January so hopefully these offers will stay for the rest of the year. If you see a deal though get it quickly as they disappear rapidly.

Tito and Tarnatula are in Las Palmas on 15 Nov in Paraninfo. They're a Califorian blues rock band made famous from the soundtrack to the Tarantino film "From Dusk til Dawn". They are great live.
