As summer has suddenly arrived, before everyone heads off to the beach I thought I'd let you know what's happening in Gran Canaria in the next month or so.

Firstly don't forget the clocks change on the 29th March and it's (Spanish) Father's day on Sunday.

We were having a problem with SPAM and fake users on the website and on updating the site to prevent these problems it appears that all the users received between 1 and 10 emails. We are really sorry.

First of all happy New Year and I hope you all had a good Christmas.

For those that weren’t here over Christmas they will have missed the Island emergency when the security forces and inhabitants were put on yellow alert! Just after Christmas it rained during the night! Don’t worry it cleared up the next day and was sunny for days afterwards.

So now we’re in 2009 what have we got to look forward to in the next month or so?
