Cheap rental apartments in Playa del ingles or surrounding area.

We have a 1 bedroom apartment to rent on our finca in Barranco de Ayagaures (5km into the mountains from Aqualand). There are some chania hotels that are cheap for long term stays but Playa is an amazing spot and I can't wait to go back with my friends this summer.

When we go on vacation to Playa Del Ingles, we have for the last couple of years, ”always” stayed in the Apartamentos Barbados. This March how ever we were to late in booking, and they did not have an apartment for us, so we decided to try something new. After having looked on the map (we know the area fairly well now so do know where we want to stay – on the western side of PdI), and having read a few promising reviews about the Walhalla hotel we decided to give this a try.The rooms where quite alright, as expected, but very sparsely equiped: there was no water boiler, no microwave oven and only very few kitchen equipments – but that’s ok, we can live with that. The cleaning was also good, and the cleaning ladies were very nice. The pool was heated, and there is also a pool bar which serves ok food.

You can get a typical 1 bedroom apartment in PDI for about 600€ a month but bear in mind it is/was holiday accomodation so won't be huge, for the same money you will get a 3 bedroom in San fernando which is next door to PDI and is a 10 minute walk to yumbo, kasbah etc. The best bet is to walk around looking for signs in the window, give them a ring and you can be in the flat usually in a matter of days, don't worry if you can't speak spanish as most of the time the landlord will know enough english to get by, good tip for the present time (credit crunch) most landlords will drop the price if you ask as they don't want the flat lying empty. I've recently helped 2 friends get 50€'s off the price. I personally recently lost my job and told my landlord we needed to move somewhere cheaper and he knocked the price down to what I told him we could afford so don't be afraid to ask for a reduction. We are living in Playa de Ingles - between the Yumbo and Cita centres. An ideal for anyone working in this area. We have a 2 bedroomed bungelow and are looking for somebody that might like to share our home. Own bedroom and use of all facilities - including complex swimming pool.
