Padel

Padel (a bit of a cross between tennis and squash)

Padel, is typically played in doubles on an enclosed court about half the size of a tennis court.  It uses the same scoring system as tennis and sligtly less pressurised balls.  The ball can be played off some of the walls in the same way it can in squash.
Padel is a rapidly growing sport in Spain.  Features such as an underarm serve make it   quick and easy to pick up. Therefore an enjoyable game is possible with players of different levels of experience.  It is also less physically demanding than similar racquet sports such as squash which is mainly why the Gran Canarian foreign community have taken  to it.
Price and availablity of courts can vary but there are plenty of places to play. You will have to book in advance.
